The Analytical Challenge 2023

Detecting and Analysing Nature’s Molecules

The Analytical Chemistry Section of the KNCV and Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences (HAN) cordially invite you to The Analytical Challenge 2023. Once again this year, we will come together for a series of lectures and discussions on a contemporary topic in analytical chemistry. This year’s theme is “Detecting and Analyzing Nature’s Molecules”. In many fields of research, nature serves as a major source of inspiration, and the various techniques within analytical chemistry play a crucial role in supporting this research.

We have secured several interesting speakers who will discuss how they utilize analytical techniques in their work in this field. This ranges from methods for monitoring biopharmaceutical processes to measuring cannabis products with a smartphone, from quality control of therapeutic proteins to determining the components of meat substitutes, and from analysis in the development of biodegradable plastics to the role of analytical chemistry in the “biobased economy.”

The event will take place on Friday, January 27, 2023, at HAN University of Applied Sciences, Laan van Scheut 2 in Nijmegen. For directions and parking information, visit: https://www.han.nl/contact/locaties/. Participation (including coffee/tea, lunch, and drinks) is free.
