The Analytical Chemistry Section of the KNCV and Saxion cordially invite you to The Analytical Challenge 2024. Once again this year, we will come together for a series of lectures and discussions on a contemporary topic in analytical chemistry. This year’s theme is “Tracing Traces,” and we will delve deeper into the broad and fascinating field of forensic analysis.
We have secured several interesting speakers who will discuss how they use analytical techniques in their work in this field. We will begin with a general introduction to the current state of forensic analysis in the Netherlands and then discuss topics ranging from research on cultural heritage to the application of forensic proteomics, and from analysis in sex crime cases to methods for monitoring explosives and analyzing traces at crime scenes.
