Travel Grant

It is difficult for organic chemistry students to secure funding for an internship abroad. By far the majority of funding opportunities, from companies and organizations such as NWO, are aimed at PhD students and postdocs. The Organic Chemistry Section of the KNCV therefore wishes to provide financial support (a travel grant) to organic chemistry students who wish to gain experience at a foreign institution. As a side effect, the section hopes this will increase its appeal to students.

Terms and Conditions

  • Grant amount per student: up to € 500,-
  • If the candidate has been a member of the section for less than one year, a maximum of €250 will be awarded;
  • If the candidate has been a member of the section for more than one year, a maximum of €500 will be awarded.
  • A maximum of five grants per year.
  • Internships at for-profit organizations are not supported.
  • The candidate must be enrolled at a Dutch university of applied sciences or university.
